All aboard for murder.
When travel writer Alex Paige boards a cross-country train bound for Chicago, she’s ready for a real vacation: gorgeous scenery, quiet hours, and the bucket-list rail journey she’s wanted to take for years.
And preferably no corpses.
But then a controversial tech CEO is found dead in his locked private room, and Alex’s vacation is over.
The victim’s famous influencer wife is grieving, guarded, and far smarter than anyone gives her credit for. His company’s inner circle wants to control the story. And among the passengers Alex met in coach are people with very personal reasons to hate him.
As suspicion spreads through the train, Alex puts her investigative instincts to work. Her knack for getting people to talk reveals the truth: plenty of passengers had motive for murder.
With a train full of suspects and nowhere to run, Alex must find out what really happened before the final stop. What she discovers is a web of betrayal stretching back decades, and secrets worth killing for.
Perfect for fans of Agatha Christie, train mysteries, destination whodunits, and intelligent amateur sleuths, Trouble on the Tracks sends Alex Paige on a cross-country journey where every passenger has a story and one of them is a killer.
Trouble on the Tracks is the seventh in the Travel is Murder Mystery Series. Read it as a standalone, or start the journey with Peril on the Peninsula and ride the whole series into the station.

Alex Paige is at her best here, not only figuring out who dunnit, but how dunnit. With help from William, Billy and newcomer Carol Pratt, the plot and the action flow smoothly from beginning to end. A joy to read.
Have read the series and was happy to see a new book published. I love stories that have trains or cruises, so this a perfect setting for me. Definitely recommend this book.
